Well, did you see it?
‘The Invisible Gorilla’ was written by Christopher Chabris & Daniel Simons on the back of their many studies, research, & experiments.
The most famous being a video of people passing a basketball & asking you to count the passes.
Once completed, you’re asked if you saw the gorilla. Halfway through a gorilla walks on, beats its chest & walks off again.
Amazingly lots of people never see the gorilla & must replay the video before they believe it happened.
Back in the late 90’s it went global. Look it up on YouTube
The 📚 is about illusions.
In fact. 6 everyday illusions that influence our lives. Attention. Memory. Confidence. Knowledge. Cause. Potential.
I wouldn’t say it’s a ‘breath-taking and exiting’ read, like Richard Wiseman says on the cover.
But it really has opened my eyes to some things which aren’t necessarily what they seem.
I’ve learnt loads and its certainly worth a read.
It covers some interesting subjects, which you’d never believe could be influenced by mysterious illusions.
From politics & business through to sports & criminals.
Everything in this book is fact and backed up by science and loads of research.
Making it amazing that some of the stuff covered is still going on today.
