Book Review: ‘Seizure’ by Willie Currie

October 10, 2020

In his latest book titled SEIZURE, author Willie Currie takes us back to the mid 1890’s where he explores the events surrounding the ‘Jameson Raid.’
Currie carefully blends history and fiction to connect the dots in which an ebullient Rhodes and his cronies tried to seize the old Transvaal Republic.
Fast forward to a hundred years later, the then-president and his collaborators captured the post-apartheid state in the blink of an eye.
Well, to tell us more about how this offering demonstrates an early attempt at the state capture, Willie Currie is joining us now via Zoom.
