Book Review: “Nomadland” by Jessica Bruder

In today’s video, I review a book by a friend of mine who, Jessica Bruder, who is an associate professor at Columbia University and is fascinated by the various counter-culture movements in the USA. She’s fascinated by nomads and she didn’t just want to interview us, she wanted to become one of us! So she attended the RTR and then bought a van of her own to live and travel in for the next 3 years! She doesn’t write about us as an outsider, but as a genuine insider who knows the heart and soul of the nomadic life. I consider this to be one of the very best books ever written about the modern nomadic life and highly recommend it! However, be aware that it is written as a human interest story and as such, most of the emphasis is on the segment of us nomads who are doing this as a necessity. It’s fair and balanced, but that segment is predominate.
