Not a member of Book of the Month yet? Join with my referral code here and I would receive a free book too, which is awesome! I love receiving hard cover copies from Book of the Month. I do the monthly subscription which is $14.99 and all of the books are hard cover. I love that I can get new releases before they hit the shelves, and an “add -on” book is only ever $10, so I honestly feel it is such a great deal for hard cover book copies. Verity by Colleen Hoover (Book Review/Spoiler Free)
Video / October 17, 2020

A ThreeLLER of Verity by Colleen Hoover (Book Review/Spoiler Free) This is definitely not your typical Colleen Hoover novel that you will read! The story will lead us through trails of manipulation and a ride full of lies. I mean why not? The characters involved in the stories are authors. Lowen is a struggling writer who got an offer of a lifetime… that is to finish the Best-Selling Author’s, Verity Crawford, series. Verity suffered a major injury that will be impossible for her to continue writing. It was tragic for her but a great deal for Lowen. It could have been an easy gig, but when Lowen to the Crawford’s residence to collect all the important materials to start writing she found an autobiography that Verity wrote. An autobiography that was never meant to be read by anyone. *** A disturbing and haunting novel that will make you question everything you feel about each character. Once you are done with this book, you will be unsure of everything. The thing is, this is not a confusion that will make you hate the book. It is more like a puzzle that you finished already but can’t figure out what is still…

When We Were Young and Brave by Hazel Gaynor (Book Review/Spoiler Free)
Video / September 28, 2020

A Threeler of When We Were Young and Brave by Hazel Gaynor (Book Review/Spoiler Free) This is going to be the first non-thriller/mystery novel that I would be reviewing but I have mentioned before to my other Social Media Accounts that I am open to reviewing other genres as well. The only thing that will be constant is that I will be reviewing the novels in 3 minutes or less. The novel was set during World War 2. Elspeth Kent is a teacher in China (Chefoo School) who wants to go back home to England to help with the war effort but all of her plans were changed because of the the sudden oppression of the Japanese in the country. But it isn’t just her whose life has changed. Even the young Nancy Plummer, who is a student at the same school that Elspeth is teach at, has to face the horrible reality of the war. This is the first Hazel Gaynor novel that I have and thank you Harper Collins and William Morrow for providing an ARC, if it wasn’t for your kindness I won’t be able to read this magnificently written novel. This is a historical fiction that…

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia Spoiler Free Book Review
Video / July 9, 2020

Synopsis: An isolated mansion. A chillingly charismatic artistocrat. And a brave socialite drawn to expose their treacherous secrets… After receiving a frantic letter from her newly wed cousin begging for someone to save her from a mysterious doom, Noemí Taboada heads to High Place, a distant house in the Mexican countryside. She’s not sure what she will find—her cousin’s husband, a handsome Englishman, is a stranger, and Noemí knows little about the region. Noemí is also an unlikely rescuer: She’s a glamorous debutante, and her chic gowns and perfect red lipstick are more suited for cocktail parties than amateur sleuthing. But she’s also tough and smart, with an indomitable will, and she is not afraid: Not of her cousin’s new husband, who is both menacing and alluring; not of his father, the ancient patriarch who seems to be fascinated by Noemí; and not even of the house itself, which begins to invade Noemi’s dreams with visions of blood and doom. Her only ally in this inhospitable abode is the family’s youngest son. Shy and gentle, he seems to want to help Noemí, but might also be hiding dark knowledge of his family’s past. For there are many secrets behind the…
