“The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” by Sherman Alexie. 60second Book Review by Jenny Sawyer. http://goo.gl/l6iLas
If you thought your life was nothing but setbacks and disappointments, meet Junior. He’s physically disabled, his family has no money, and he was born a Native American, which means that the odds are already stacked against him. But Junior has a rare gift—the gift of humor. And in spite of the obstacles he faces (which grow more insurmountable as this book progresses), Junior somehow manages to keep going. “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” isn’t an easy read, but Junior is a likeable protagonist whose struggles ultimately pale in comparison to his small (but significant) triumphs.
