In this video, I talk about two authors’ books, and how I like one a little better than the other, but they are both fantastic authors with great books that you can use to grow your business exponentially.

The EOS book series with Traction by Gino Wickman and 10X is Easier than 2X and the 2 books that follow by Dan Sullivan.

These books have a lot of the same concepts and information in them. As far as which book YOU should read for your business growth, I’d say all of them, why not?

But I do suggest Traction by Gino Wickman as the starting point, if you then want to dive into the 10X is Easier than 2X go for it. Gino doesn’t specifically talk about big growth being easier, but the concepts discussed in Dan’s book 10X about processes, systems and having the right people doing the right jobs is all included in Traction along with guides and templates to put the concepts into action in your business.

My brokerage Epique Realty (if you’re looking for a brokerage message me let’s talk) has added Agent Hub 360 as a benefit to the agents, and they recommend and use the concepts within the Dan Sullivan books for their program, I believe if you read Traction and then had the opportunity to take part in the Agent Hub 360 program you’d do just fine even if you didn’t read the books they recommend, but if you are a person who does better by reading exactly what is being discussed by a trainer or coach, then you definitely will want to read the books by Dan Sullivan as well, even if you’ve read all of what Gino Wickman has written.

The reason I choose the Gino Wickman series as my favorite is the guides and tools that come with it to make it easily self-implementable. Any business owner with the right drive and motivation to grow their business and find the success they desire will be able to pick up those books and begin implementing them, even if it takes a couple read-throughs to fully understand it to put into action.

The Dan Sullivan books may have that as well, but because it didn’t feel like a guide as much as Gino Wickman’s books I feel it would be more difficult to implement and really put into action without additional guidance.

How do I know the Traction book is good for ANY business owner? My business partner and husband is NOT a reader, not a book person at all and is not a business-minded person by nature, it’s where he really has to work hard at growing, where his technician side (Read the E-Myth books to understand that) is so strong that as soon as business feels overwhelming to him, he just goes and does work along the technicians we have hired. After a quick overview about EOS and Traction the book from an outside source (because like many partners sometimes they need to hear it from someone else) he was able to pick up the book, print off the charts and worksheets and start putting the ideas to work, this helped us get on the same page within the business so much faster than we had ever experienced in the past.

These books are great for ALL business owners, and my fellow real estate agents, YOU are business owners, you are a business all by yourself even if you’re not incorporated or have an LLC formed, as an independent contractor YOU are a business. You are NOT an employee of your brokerage.

If you are currently at a brokerage and you feel like an employee, are treated like an employee and would like to feel like the business owner you are, message me and let’s have a talk about how YOU can get your real estate business going without feeling like an employee going to a job. We can discuss what makes sense for your business brokerage-wise, what actions you can take if you want to stay at your current brokerage to be more of a business, than a job, and what it takes mindset-wise to get where you want to go within your business. We can also explore other brokerage models and find out if would be beneficial for you and your business to move to a different brokerage.

Other business owners, if you’d like to discuss any of these books let’s hop on a call or zoom, or if you’re local, let’s meet for coffee and have some book conversations and what implementation looks like for you or in general of each book’s concepts. How can you take the content of the books and put it to use to help your business grow and give you the time and money freedom you longed for when you decided to start a business and not stay at a job.
