A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin is book one in the Earthsea Cycle, among the initial fantasy collection ever written. Sparrowhawk, the best sorceror in Earthsea, is still in his negligent youth and winds up releasing a horrible shadow into the world.
It feels like a very classic young adult, or even center quality, fantasy tale. He reminded me of Fitz from Farseer though, which a whole lot of people enjoy, so I’m not certain if everyone would do not like Sparrowhawk.
The writing was fantastic and I did still appreciate the journey/adventure element of it all. Not the most engaging story yet I don’t be sorry for reading it and I most definitely want to see just how the collection progresses.
When I balanced out my scores of each phase, I finished up with 2.9 celebrities and rounded it up to 3 stars.
⚠ I share numerous more extensive thoughts (still without looters) in my most recent long-form video, along with thoughts on all the various other books I’ve read thus far this year, so ensure to check it out on my channel!
