The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe is a science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy book series recommendation to me, a reader looking for a novel similar to the feelings and lore of Soulslike games (Demon’s Souls, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne). BotNS follows Severian, the torturer, on his journey in an odd, Dying Earth world, that unfolds like a Soulborne game to both Severian and the reader.
